Hello Artisans of the Emirates

January 2011 is just around the corner and ARTE moves forward with the ticking of the clock and rather than making a new start we intend to continue with the successful formula that we together have developed over the last few years. We are therefore very proud to invite you again to register for the January markets in Dubai Festival City Centre and Times Square Center, on 7th and 14th January respectively. The registration form is attached. This is also available from our website on www.arte.ae

A few notes:

Facebook fan page networking
Many of the ARTEsans have facebook Fan Pages, if you have one too, please put your link on the ARTE fanpage, and network. Ask people to LIKE you. We all have these wonderful pockets of friends and clients, it would be great to share the quality of art and craft handmade in the UAE and invite our 'friends' to come to the ARTE markets.

Facebook tagging
Feroz, the ARTE photographer takes many stall, vendor and product photographs and these are uploaded onto our facebook pages. Please have a look at them and find your own images and tag them, so that our visitors to the fb know who is behind the product. I have just gone through over a 1000 images, and it took my breath away. You are all such amazing artisans, you are all doing fabulous unique work. Thank you for featuring at the ARTE markets. Now, go tag!!!!

New ARTE market locations
At the last minute before we were going to sign off the deal on a 3rd location for an ARTE market, it fell through. As the saying goes: some doors close, other doors open. We have since received several (4) invites to take ARTE to other Emirates. We are working on these endeavouring to achieve the best for the ARTE group. Once we have facts we will share these with you in writing.

ARTE registration form
Many of the vendors sign up for both DFC and TSC most months. We have now redesigned the form, see attached and let us have your feed back. We can easily go back to the other way.

ARTE market payments - once again
Payments on the day are not possible, unless you come from out of town. Email info@arte.ae
Cash payments need to be made in advance to the Art House Dubai Gallery in Jumeirah 2, link is on our website.
Payments can also be made to the ARTE registration desk during ARTE events for future markets. Please prepare an envelope with the completed registration form and cash payment inside.
Deadline for payments is always the last Wednesday before an event, 1pm. Any payments received after that time or day will not be included in our equipment plan.

Light at the ARTE markets
Always a difficult issue for the vendors. Please bring your own extension lead and lamps, we will find a way to plug you in somewhere.

ARTE food court in Times Square Center only
We have recently been visited by 'the municipality' and we need to make some adjustments. If you are a food vendor please email me for the details and in a day or so check the website for the facts.
Please note that food sales are only permitted at ARTE Soukh in Times Square Center and NOT at DFC.

Please accept that our main form of communicating with our vendors is through email. You can contact us on info@arte.ae and usually you will get a quick reply. If you know of any newbees who would like to join ARTE, please suggest to them that they check out our website first. www.arte.ae
