Please note that only high quality, original, unique, one of a kind, handmade-in-the-UAE products can be displayed. We are thereby following the instructions of the Dubai Festival City management, but also carrying the ethos and spirit of ARTE.

We will continue the ARTE Markets in Festival City until the end of Ramadan / Eid (10th September is the last Summer ARTE Market event date), on a weekly Friday basis, and we will start again in Times Square Center on September 17.

A few things:

1. Those who came to the 30th July Market did a great job. All items looked genuine and the displays were interesting and filled with charming items. We will continue to monitor products being offered for sale by the vendors to ensure we maintain the right quality.

2. Despite this time of year, we still have a good variety of interesting stalls: Rowena with her slogan buttons and clocks, Michelle makes personalised certificates on the spot, Rebecca and the personalised towels and robes, Heba and her slinky silk dresses, Anne-Marie and her unique precious stone jewellery collection set in rhodium, silver and gold, Rohini and the tribal collection of jewellery and fabrics, just to mention a few. You want to join them? Come forward!

3. DFC seems to be continuing to hold steady the footfall to the mall during the summer.

4. Please note that from our side we need to comply with the DFC’s management guidelines. No extra personal tables can be brought to ARTE. We do not have the permission from the mall for this; it also makes the stalls look scruffy, as well as taking space away from your neighbour's area. If you need some extra space then you are welcome to reserve a second table..…there are several vendors that do so already. However, with the number of vendors slightly lower this week, I will ask the installation team to allow for some extra space between the tables, so there is enough space for any display rack, cloths rack and sewing machine.

5. The ongoing comment we receive and see is that thre are too many jewellery stalls compared to non-jewellery stalls. Paul is back soon and he and I will then discuss and decide on a quota for the ARTE markets. Note again, that jewellery vendors whom we will consider are those that truly have a passionate, strong identity in their collection range and set up. A flat table with a wide variety of styles and cheap beads is not going to make the cut.

6. Payments:
A. we need to receive your payment and registration form by Tuesday 6pm. Any forms left at the gallery after that time / date may not be included in the requirement list. Make sure you are on time.
B. you can also pay us at the market in advance for the next week. Simply handover the registration and cash to the ARTE registration desk, Miriam or a team member and when you reach home, remember to drop an email to info@arte.ae to confirm that you have made the payment.

7. Table cloths – The new table cloths look great and improve the overall presentation of the market to our customers. However, the laundry lady is asking for you to be more careful with food and drinks on your table cloth. We have less tables, but the laundry bills are increasing. Help us and try to keep your table cloths clean. Thank you for your cooperation.

8. The Ramadan hours for the ARTE Market will be from 6pm till 11pm, with a set up from 5pm. I realise this is still an awkward timing for those who take their Iftar meal at home, but I just have not been able to find a way around it to respect the break of the fast and make the Market still our worthwhile. The DFC is open till 1am.
