We hereby invite you to sign up for the ARTE markets in Festival Centre and Times Square Center in June. The detailed information is further below and the booking forms are attached for both locations. Please note here also that Festival City requires advance payment through art house dubai gallery.

Art House Dubai Gallery,
The place where you drop of your payments, is ONLY a drop off station for the form and the payments. The staff are not informed of ARTEs latest developments, and they therefore cannot answer your questions. If you have any questions with regards to ARTE and YOU, please email themto info@arte.ae before you visit Art House Gallery. We reply very quickly. If you don’t hear from us, resend, we may not have received your mail.
Please note that you MUST bring your completed form from home to the Gallery and that you must have the correct cash attached to your form. Credit card payments are NOT permitted. Please be kind and and polite to the Art House staff, they are very Nice people and ARTE needs this location for your and our benefit.

Festival City change: IMPORTANT PLEASE READ

Festival City Centre ARTE Market update and changes
The first event near the Ikea and HyperPanda started off with a few problems (shortage of racks , and problems with a few commercial vendors) However, the day ended well, with most ARTEs satisfied with their sales, but, we have made the following decisions:-

All vendors must now pay for Festival City in advance, payments on the day will no longer be allowed (we are sorry for this).

Table set up is from 10am (not 12 noon)
NOTE: The team, need time to set up the market so Please DO NOT arrive before 10am, if you do, enjoy a coffee but allow us our time up to 10am so everything is ready for you. Thank you for your cooperation.

No More Commercial retail sellers, imported product vendors -
We thank you for your interest in ARTE but we have decided that from this day forward we will only permit for Art, Craft, Designers who make their own product here in the UAE. We do not permit any imported products, nor do we allow for any products that are bought locally for the purpose of re-selling. We have heard some disappointing stories about vendors buying items in the Dragon Mart etc and reselling these products at ARTE. If you are not sure if your product is valid or not, please do not hesitate to contact us on info@arte.ae.


4th June 2010 - ARTE Market in Festival Centre at Dubai Festival City, nr Ikea & Hyperpanda supermarket on the Mezzanine floor
Set up 10:00 hrs All vendors are required to sign in at the registration desk held by Helen & Hayet. this is also where you can collect your art rack. Any outstanding payments need to be made BEFORE you set up. Please help us by not having to chase after the registration fee.
Table Allocation through the lucky draw system
Timing Till 21:00 hrs
Fee Dhs 125 – the rate will be increased in September to Dhs 200. If you are a newcomer, there is also the Dhs 100 newcomers membership fee.
Art stands Only wire grid art panels are available, no wooden easels. Please provide your own hooks.
How to Register Print the form, take it with the cash to Art House Dubai gallery.
Products Only products handmade in the UAE. No products that have been bought locally or abroad for the purpose of reselling.
Deadline Tuesday 1st June, please note that we only have space for 72 vendors at present. if we receive bookings over that number, the last bookings in will be notified by email and text that sadly we cannot accept their payment for June.
Cancellation Please note that we need a minimum of 36 hours, no refunds after that time. Sorry!
Parking Either the P2 level of the Ikea car park on the right , or the P2 level of the Hyperpanda supermarket carpark on the left.

11th June 2010 - ARTE Soukh in Times Square Center, Dubai
Set up 10:00 am, sign in at our Registration Desk opposite the escalator and draw your lucky table number, any outstanding payments need to be made there and then before setting up or settling down
Timing till 19:00 hrs
Fee Dhs 200 * see the form for details, Dhs 100 one off payment for NEW ARTE member, to be paid with your first market fee
Bookings Fill out the form attached, prepare the cash payment, take this to Art House Dubai Gallery in Jumeirah 2 on Al Wasl road
Deadline Tuesday 8th June, no late bookings will be accepted, books are closed after this date
Payment Only cash payments through the gallery, no payments on the day, except for out of town vendors (UA, AJ, RAK, FUJ, AA, AD)
Cancellation 36 hours before by email

Times Square Center update
We have checked with the TSC mall management and despite the fact that more shops have closed recently, the mall is there to stay and they continue with their search for the right pull store to move in. If you are interested in opening a store, or rent a cart, get in touch with the management of TSC. You never know you may be able to arrange a super deal.

Upstairs at Times Square – reduced rate - We keep getting much interest for the upstairs in TSC, but no takers. If we get at least 10 or more stalls for upstairs we will make the move into the light, lots of electricity power points and a steady footfall for Sharaf DG and Toys r Us and the food court.

The road signals have changed. On Sheikh Zayed Road, coming from the North, driving South, the RTA sign now says: D65 Al Marabea’ Street, Exit 43 Al Rasaas Street. Times Square Center is on the east side of the Sheikh Zayed road. Coming from the South, we have an additional sign that says Exit 42.

And more in general....

Food vendors
Please adhere to hygiene rules and handle your food items with gloves and wrap in appropriate packaging. Please collect your rubbish and dispose of in the bins provided. Thank you.

Bring lights and extension cords
If light is of a concern to you, bring you own lights and an extension cord as well as tape to tape down the wire. Please remove the tape from the floor before you leave. PLEASE NOTE we cannot guarantee access to a power point but we will try :o) Thank you for your cooperation.

Marketing
Photography – Feroz & Tamer are available to take pictures of your work for the ETSY page on the www.arte.ae website, but also for your brochures and websites. Please approach them and discuss a deal. You can contact Feroz Khan on feroz.k.khan@gmail.com and Tamer Khalifat on khalifat75@hotmail.com.

Numbers
After an administrative clear out, we have 1520 names on the ARTE mailing list, with 240 members on our Facebook fanpage. These are great numbers, and they give us a great variety of vendors in all aspects of art, craft and design.

ARTE is missing
We are however missing two categories at ARTE at present: quilters and scrapbookers. If you make quilts or scrapbooks for yourself or others and would like to market those for either selling them, or drawing more members into your own clubs, please come to ARTE and make our group complete by showing us your beautiful ware. We are a friendly bunch where the community spirit is paramount.

Supermarket advertising - thank you Sue for the supermarket advertising. the rental of your easel is a freebee at the next market, and we will then of course also reimburse your receipt.
