Final Notes for Times Square June ARTE Soukh

Hello ARTEs

Thank you all for your bookings, the ARTE team looks forward to welcoming you in Times Square Center on Friday 11th.
If my quick counting is correct, we will have 102 vendors on Friday, spread over 99 tables with 230 chairs and 18 art spaces.

Advertising
We have done our bit with advertising and emailing and we hope that you have done that too. Thank you to Liz R for putting up some posters at the supermarkets. Please push ARTE to your friends by text and email. It will only take a moment and your effort will benefit all of us at ARTE in Times Square Center.

Set up & Timing
Set up is from 10am. If you arrive early, please enjoy a coffee at Caribou Cafe, if you arrive later, the lucky draw table numbers will be less to draw from.
The market is till 7pm, please do not leave early.

ONLY Handmade in the UAE by YOU is our rule - please leave all products that do not fit this category at home. The locally purchased products or imported products are much cause for gossip and irritation and it really spoils some of the good that we are working towards for us all, the Artisans. Please cooperate and aim for quality and uniqueness, let your products be entertaining, exciting and beautiful.

Networking is much important at ARTE - bring your business cards! or simply write your details on a piece of paper - slab some paint over it and voila!

How to be...
Be friendly, chatty, don't push your buyer too much, have a mirror, bring a paper and pen to make notes with and take customer's orders or details... Talk about why you love your work, ask your client for their opinion. Get feed back. And, if your neighbour has a potential client walk up, whilst you two are chatting - please step back and allow space for your neighbour and her client to make the deal.

Racks - we only have enough racks for those who ordered and paid for one. Please do not help yourself.
We do have more wooden easels, if you need some more, please go to Paul, Stephen or Helen who will only be too pleased to help you out. Racks are rented out at Dhs 25 each. Remember some times these things take a moment to organise so be patient.

Table allocations: some tables or spaces will show an ARTE sign with a name or simply reserved sign. Please be polite and do not move these. Just for your information they are reserved for some of our Golden Olden Vendors who have been coming to ARTE since 2005 and others are reserved for those who have booked a double table. Thank you for your cooperation.

General stuff:
It is great that so many of you tell others about ARTE and the markets in FC and TSC. We have a huge amount of new applicants. But, can you also please tell them to contact us by email and to check out the website. New market vendors turning up at Art House Dubai Gallery on a Friday morning at 8.30am is not a good plan. The Gallery is closed, for instance! And the staff of Art House Dubai Gallery cannot answer any questions either! WE do! Just tell your friends to email info@ARTE.ae and it will be taken care of from there on. We love to help!

I would like to share with you our thanks to Inka for her Graphic Design for our adverts and posters, to Kumar for always being in the background, Sue and her Team at Art House Dubai Gallery, our spouses who put up with much demand, and then YOU for being such amazing people and understanding what ARTE is all about.

We wish you to have a wonderful event on Friday, and tehn we look forward to seeing you in Times Square Center in September (3rd Friday of the month) or perhaps Festival City in July and August (more details to follow).
